All About Mesotherapy

There are so many new beauty procedures being developed all the time. We want to keep you in the loop!

Mesotherapy gives a new boost to skin. It delivers nutrients via a needle and helps give a glowy complexion. Fibroblast is one type of mesotherapy.

So what is it?

Mesotherapy is similar to botox, but instead of removing lines and plumping, the effect is a glowy complexion. The procedure involves tiny injections into the surface of the skin. The injections contain vitamins, minerals and other components that are naturally found in the skin but diminish with age.

The injection stimulates fibroblasts to produce new skin cells and elastin. Injections can be tailored based on specific concerns such as hair loss and excess fat, depending on the client’s needs and age.

The process

A mesotherapy treatment takes 1.5 hours. The first 30 minutes involves applying anesthetic cream and red light to reduce pain.

The injections take 15 to 45 minutes and the client will feel a scratching across his or her face. The shallow needle moves across and in and out of the face very quickly.

After mesotherapy, the client sits under red and yellow light for about 10 minutes. The light therapy improves the skin’s barrier function, expedites healing, and generates new collagen.

The effects are instant and besides scratch marks post-procedure, the recovery time is minimal. Minor bruising and swelling should settle within 24 hours.

Mesotherapy can target skin issues such as acne marks and scars. It can also address pigmentation problems such as sunspots and melasma. A new area of mesotherapy treats hair loss. The microinjections could help improve hair production and stimulate blood flow for denser hair growth. Mesotherapy should work for all skin types.
